This is the first half of a training film we produced for Costco Wholesale who needed to improve their industry leading position as the leader in cashier productivity. A competing chain was moving into Southern California and announced they intended to use automated checkstands. While automation is less expensive than staffed checkstands, if my client could increase productivity they could continue to provide fast efficient service and remain more profitable than the automated checkstand option. Costco agreed to let us meet with the fastest front end employees in Southern California and adopt their techniques into a new training program. We filmed the new training techniques with real customers and set new company records. This video was directed by John Goolsby and edited by Chip Goolsby
